Gluten Free Sesame Snack

Gluten free sesame snack. Dairy free, egg free and refined sugar free. Sweet little choc sesame squares for dulling the morning or afternoon lull.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hulled organic sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cocao powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon wattle seed optional - you could use cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • 1 tablespoon Tahini

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to a bowl and stir to combine well
  2. Place a piece of baking paper onto the bench that is long enough to double over the mixture
  3. Fold the baking paper over the mixture and pat down and use a rolling pin to roll out flat
  4. Once flat cut add the mixture to the dehydrator, on the baking paper set to 125 degrees for 10 hours
  5. Slice into squares
  6. Store in an airtight container and eat within a few days

Recipe Notes

I used my dehydrator as part of the preparation process to remove the stickiness, to dry them out. If you do not have a dehydrator you could put them into the oven on the lowest heat to dry them out, or simply into the fridge. The resulting texture will be different but the flavor pretty will be very similar.
