Handmade dairy free Christmas chocolate recipe

Handmade dairy free Christmas chocolate recipe. Made quick with Australian nuts this recipe is perfect to quickly make before heading off to a Christmas event when you are allocated to provide dessert.

Ingredients

  • 35 grams coco butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup raw cocao powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons macadamia nuts chopped roughly
  • 1 tablespoon pecan nuts chopped roughly
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin kernals
  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Fill a small saucepan to a third full of water and set to boil
  2. Add the coco butter and coconut oil to a bowl that will sit on top of the saucepan without the base touching the water
  3. Gently melt the coco butter and coconut oil, stirring ocassionally
  4. Add the cocao powder and cinnamon stirring well to remove any lumps
  5. Pour into a slice tray lined ith baking paper
  6. Add the nuts and cranberries by sprinkling across the surface
  7. Place into the freezer to set
  8. Remove when set and cut with a knife, or break into pieces
  9. Store in the fridge

Recipe Notes

Store macadamias and pecans in the fridge to keep them fresh.
The preparation time does not include time for the chocolate to set.
