This week we have been planning Santa’s Christmas Eve snack and Punky (nearly 4 years) has just drawn a gorgeous picture he would like to leave out for Santa. His cousin arrives from New Zealand today so we thought we would do Santa’s note early, before things get too crazy. Last year was the first year Punky was really excited about Santa. We left out a note for Santa and a snack for him and for his reindeer for the first time last year. I have kept that first Santa note for him so that he can look back on it when he is grown up. I hope that it will remind him of how excited he was and the magic of Christmas to a child.
Along with Santa’s picture we will leave Santa his snack. Punky has chosen to put together for Santa this year.
We also have a bag of Reindeer food and magic dust, courtesy of Miss Belinda, Punky’s carer on a Wednesday, so that the reindeer’s can find him. The poem to go with it is:
“Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home”
Punky has drawn Santa an awesome picture this year with a picture of 2 submarines, one for him and one for Santa.
Santa is also in the picture, he is of course in the orange. I think he has done an amazing job! Santa even has a hat.
Punky's picture for Santa
He has asked me to write Santa a note that says:
“I really love you Santa and I will see you next time”.
I have instructions that I am to call Santa on the phone after he has visited on Christmas Eve so that Punky can say ” ‘bye Santa”
We hope that Santa finds great snacks at your place and that he leave good will, cheer and happiness for the new year.
