A winning soup idea

Ho vinto una lezione di cucina e soggiorno in italia.
A little while ago I entered the La Zuppa “What’s Your Flavour?” competition. To enter the competition you had to propose an idea for a soup flavour that La Zuppa would consider adding to their next range.
The prize – a trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy, a four day cooking course in Sant’Agata sui due Golfi at the La Cucina del Gusto cooking school with stop overs in Rome and a host of other activities in between.
I WON!!!

From around 2000 entries my flavour suggestion was selected as the winning entry.
It is difficult to express how excited I am about this without completely boring you…. I am off to Italy and I am so excited! I am not well traveled and Italy has long been at the top of my list of places to visit. I WON – did I mention that?

I am bragging about my win today because I think that from my win, you will win too. I am planning to return from my trip with some amazing new cooking skills and recipes with an Italian influence.
Mr Fresh gets to come along to the course with me so I am imagining the possibility of having a meal cooked for me once in a while!! This has only happened once or twice so far in 8 years….
The soup flavour idea that I entered was for Chicken, Sweet Potato and Corn. Entry to the competition did not require a recipe, just the flavour suggestion.

Of course I had to try the flavour to make sure I was happy with the idea so I did develop a recipe.
I originally posted the recipe at the end of July. You can find my winning soup idea recipe here.
Thank you La Zuppa, I am thrilled to have won and am looking forward to my cooking course and going on the holiday of my dreams. With two small children, and numerous commitments, this trip would not have happened otherwise.
Yippeee and ciao, I need to start to practice my Italian 🙂
Have you been to cooking school or classes? I would love to hear about it if you have.
