Start to Grow Fresh Food Today

Is there something that you have been meaning, or wanting to do for some time? The day has arrived. It is your day to get started and do it. It is time to Start Fresh.

I made this short movie with my two little boys, they helped with both the filming and also the activity in the video.

One of the things many people say to me when we first meet is “I would love to grow fresh vegetables at my place BUT….. “

This is for you! You can grow your own and you can start today.

I hope that you will see that there is no “but…”

Join in and plant your first thing. Use anything you have on hand for a pot, I used an old tin here.  If a 5 year old and 2 year old can do it, I am convinced that you can too.  Don’t wait another day, get started TODAY.

You may also be surprised at what happens when you make this small change in your life.  Big things may grow 🙂

Spring is the perfect time of year to begin growing.  Start small, with one thing. Choose your favourite herbs or lettuce. They are easy to grow in pots, or the garden.
You will thank me when you pluck those fresh lettuce, basil or coriander leaves from your little plants to add to your dinner plate.

I know that many of my readers do already grow fresh – hooray! BUT…….You are not excused from this activity – plant one more thing 🙂
You already know that any meal made with something that you have grown yourself tastes so much better! You also know the feeling of immense satisfaction when you collect your fresh goodies. Go on – get some more of that.

I really hope that you enjoy our little video. We had alot of fun making it and the boys are getting a kick out of seeing themselves on the screen. If you like it, please share it with your friends, especially those who may also need a little extra motivation to start to grow fresh.

What are going to plant first?

Take a picture and share what you plant  #StartFresh on Instagram or email me.
Happy gardening.

    Gorgeous video!
I took my husband along to an organic growers market two weeks ago really just for company not thinking he’d have much interest in buying all the seedlings etc that I wanted. He now had 8 chilli plants and checks on them twice a day. I think I’ve turned him into a growing addict! I can’t wait to see his face when he gets his first chilli.
On the weekend I planted some bean and melon seedlings. Does that count?

Thanks Claire for your lovely feedback. I really appreciate it. Wow 8 chillis is impressive! They do dry well though so that is a bonus. Getting your husband growing as well as the beans and melons most certainly counts 🙂
