Fresh and Fast – healthy chicken breast burger


Chicken Breast Burger Recipe 

This is a Fresh and Fast Friday Recipe

Makes: 10 burger patties

Preparation Time: 5 minutes + 10 minutes resting time in fridge

Cook Time: 10 minutes


  • 400 grams of skinless chicken breast minced (in a blender)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 sprig of fresh sage leaves
  • 3 sprigs of fresh parsley leaves
  • 2 thick slices (ends )of bread – I use sour dough bread
  • 2 eggs – whisked lightly
  • 1 carrot – grated
  • 3 tablespoons of plain flour


  1. Put the chicken breast into a food processor and process until minced
  2. Remove the chicken and place into a bowl
  3. To the (cleaned) food processor add the garlic clove, herbs and slices of bread and whizz until the bread resembles green crumbs – ( 1 cup is required)
  4. Add the bread crumb mix to the chicken
  5. Add the eggs and the carrot to the bowl then stir to combine
  6. Sprinkle the flour onto a plate and shape the chicken mince into small patties and then roll in the flour
  7. Place each floured pattie onto a clean plate and refrigerate for 10 minutes
  8. Heat a pan with a drizzle of oil and cook the patties for approximately 10 minutes
  9. Assemble on fresh rolls with your choice of fillings
